This is an excellent first edition of Ives' 1854 apology for resigning as Episcopal Bishop Of North Carolina and converting to Catholicism.  Great item of NC history, very scarce in this original form.  Also bears the signature of Roman Catholic author J.D. Bryant, 1854, and noted Raleigh bibliophile Roger Marshall, 1949.

This is a clean, rough-edged copy, of one of the original copies---the first 48 pages paginated by some previous person, then printer paginated to page 104, then an inlaid note from the author, in which he introduces the appendix mentioned below---of Noyes' Deer Isle Ancestry, one of THE source books of Maine geneology. It includes a 19 page appendix that may be foreshortened, ending with Deacon Caleb Haskell's Revolutionary War diary with the date May 17, 1776. There is no evidence of any pages missing, however, appendix or other text. Photos on request.

This is an acceptable-for-collectible copy of a Janet Lambert "Penny Parrish" young-girl-makes-good series.  Jacket art looks like the work of the same artist who did the Holden Caulfield cover for the paperback "Catcher In the Rye" of the same period.

This is a very good copy of a work with the old discussion on the origin of one of Dickens'  Pickwick---really a Dickens creation?   They're still arguing.

This is a perfectly acceptable copy of Langford's Cub history, which covered the scoop very efficiently, yet with a nice eye for detail.  Many of the great games and names are included, making this the Cub fan's choice for the Post-war Boomer Era.

An artifact from "The Great War", "the war to end all wars", World War 1, this is a completely clean, unmarked diary of the sort soldiers would carry when they went off not knowing if they'd return.  In remarkable very good/near fine condition, with only lightly rubbed corners to mar its perfection after all these almost 100 years, it must be valued higher than its timeworn competitors.

This copy on the Equadoran artist's work is very fresh condition.  Strikingly beautiful is the book in itself, with its poignant imprinted cover portrait, but this copy does not appear to have been read, and has only very minor exterior fading and the marginal dust jacket shelving wear from the passage of thirty-six years.  There are seventy color reproductions in the latter part of the text and commmentary by Pablo Neruda and others.
