Measuring approximately 12" X 10 ¼ ", this book-bound album contains 65 photos mounted on 9 double-sided pages. Two photographs have gone missing, apparently removed deliberately. 41 unused pages follow, for a total of 50 pages. The album has a dark-green linen cover, with "Photographs" embossed in the upper-left corner in gold, using Art Nouveau typography. The album cover shows edge wear and worn corners, but is otherwise in good condition. The first page has come partially loose from the binding; towards the end of the pages of photographs, which all are at the front of the album, one page has come completely detached from the binding. Written on the inside cover is what looks to be the name "Hildegarde Lasell," and an internet search finds a Hildegarde Lasell Watson (December 28, 1888 - September 26, 1976), who was an American actress, singer, writer and arts patron, who was from Massachusetts. 7.75" x 10.75" cloth bound photo album with a total of around 90 photos. Written on the front cover is "Prop. Of Henry A. Lorenz, 15th Air Base, Albrook Field, Canal Zone, Panama." A card with an image of a bird is attached to the inside front cover and says "Real bird feathers. Made in Panama City. This album and its contents is the property of Henry A. Lorenz. All pictures were taken by my friends or myself." The photos inside are various sizes and are held to the page with corner tabs. Embossed onion skin pages separate each of the pages. The only date I see inside is from 1939. Around a dozen photos are missing from the page, and there are 8 detached photos tucked inside. Most of the album is annotated, and there are photos of the airfield, entertainment, natives, Rio Hato, Anton, near Balboa harbor, Panama City, 15th air base barracks, reptiles and snakes, straw huts, Zuk Village, airplanes, San Blas Island, etc. A nice, identified album from the Canal Zone, before the start of World War II.

. 10" x 13" photo album with 24 leaves/48 pages containing about 150 photos, an envelope with negatives and various newspaper clippings, all having to do with theater and movie actors in the late 1930s and early 1940s. The album belonged to Dorothy Lovell of New Haven, Connecticut, whose name is written on the inside cover. According to Allmovies.com, she is credited with roles in two movies from 1940, "Remedy for Riches," and "The Courageous Dr. Christian." She seems to have been a part of the "Post Road Players," a theater group in Connecticut. Many of the photos show actors on set both outdoors and on stage.
