Upper portion of spine has had clear tape (not cellophane) placed over it to prevent further tearing. There is a small chip to the upper edge of spine, thus the preventative measure taken. Covers are otherwise scuffed, a little yellowed, and has lightly dented corners. Interiors of wraps are quite discolored. Rear wrap is yellowed and pages lightly yellowed. Really neat little book. 101 pages.

Some additional soiling. Bumped and creased corner tips. Bumped spine ends, scraping to edge of spine. Chapters 1 & 2 have a great deal of underlining in pencil. Sewn and glued binding is in good shape. No loose pages. 138 pages.

Robert Hoath LaFollette, 1950. Softcover. Acceptable. Softcover saddle stitched book. Book can be reversed to read the different "sections." The sections are two different stories: Eight Notches, and In an Upside-down World. Inscribed by author, dated "X-mas 1951." Yellow, textured pictorial covers are smudged and soiled. Vertical creases top to bottom on front and rear wraps. Rusted binding staples. Tears to first and last pages around the staples. This makes the "binding" condition somewhat fragile. Page block attached to spine and isn't pulling away. Toned pages. A few soiled pages. Care should be taken when opening the book as the binding is a tad fragile. Splits in the hinges between boards and end papers. Walter Lantz was responsible for the Woody Woodpecker illustrations and subsequent cartoons. Andy Panda was created in the late 1930's and was featured in cartoons until the late 40's. Unpaginated. Neat little piece of Walter Lantz memorabilia.

The hinges of the book are extremely loose, with the very first page of book loose and tucked inside the leaves of the book.
