This is the first translation into English of Vamakesvarimatam, one of the most authoritative and oft-quoted manuals of Sri Vidya, and one, furthermore, with a decidedly Kaula slant. The Kaulajñ nanir aya is an important T ntric work belonging to the N tha tradition, supposed to have been composed by Matsyendran tha who was the founder of one of the Kaula schools called Yogini-kaula. It is divided into 24 sections and deals mainly with meaning of kula, practices prescribed for a kaula, the principle Akulavira, relation between Siva-Sakti, bindu, n da, mok a, mode of worship, means of acquisition of powers by which one can kill others and enjoy long life. There are two prefaces, one by Magee and the other by Bagchi. The lengthy introduction by Bagchi puts everything into perspective.

Mardo (1895-1976), born Medardo Lonzano in Havana Cuba, performed as a full-time professional, close-up, club, and stage magician from the 1940s through the 1960s. It has also been reported that he was a spy who worked for the U.S. Government on missions in Cuba.

From big gambling joints to the dives where one could indulge in the lowest form of perversion. The Club Inferno had gambling upstairs and stripping downstairs. The joint was wide open. they had some of the best strippers in the country appearing there to please the customers in every way possible.

Modern Magician ("A Monthly Publication by Magicians for Magicians") was a Magic Periodical edited by James McKnight from Newark, New Jersey and published during the depression from 1932 to 1934. It started as a monthly, but then issued quarterly after the first three issues.
