Attributed to N. H. Wilson. In Wilson's opinion, Rhodesia had the resources to become not only a major settlement colony, but a nation in its own right, and as a part of the Empire-wide network of colonies and territories, especially given its position in British Africa, it could only expand with hugely increased white immigration. He was a member of the American Philosophical Society, the National Academy of Sciences, and the recipient of dozens of awards, medals, and honorary degrees.
