SIGNED by author (no inscription) on front free endpaper. May be unstated First Edition, c. 1958- no note of further printings. DJ Poor w/ rubbing, edge wrinkles, vert. jacket separation along front of spine panel, 1 x 6"" horizontal piece missing along top of spine & front panel (incl. part of ""One"" in title), narrow strip missing along bottom edge of spine/ front panel; other lesser blemishes. All said, DJ still displays pretty well (may appproach ""Fair"") in mylar protector- esp. bright red & white St. George's Cross on front. Book is Good to possibly VG. Dark gray cloth binding generally clean w/ light rubbing & soil to covers- red cross on front is bright & intact. Slight lean to spine; also sunfaded, but all lettering legible. White DJ is Good; shows soil, light rubbing, sun discolor to spine, minimal edge wear. Still, it's all there & firmly together. Book is Fine. Red cloth binding is tight, square, clean, & bright w/ NO wear. All gold spine lettering crisp & intact. Text is tight, clean, unmarked w/ a hint of toning. NO hinge splits, owner name, gift notes or remainder mark; NOT ex library or book club. DJ & book both display very well. Handsome, well preserved copy.

Lime green cloth binding is clean, square & bright w/ little to no other use- maybe a trace of shelf wear. NO bumps, frays, sun, soil, etc. All lettering & decoration on cover & spine are crisp & intact. Copy still displays very well. Text is tight, white, clean, unmarked.
