The book is in fair - good condition condition,.There is a tear in the inside binding between Lipchittz' photo and the title page) which has been repaired. There is a similar binding tear tear along the inside rear cover, which has not been repaired. Also some chiping along the top and bottom of the spine where the spine meeting the cover boards. The pages are in excellent conditon, without any faults. Inscription with full signature of the author is on the title page. Dj has wear along the edges, especially along the top edges, which has several small tears as well. Dj was clipped in a semi-circular pattern. Dj covered with a transparent cellophane cover. Stated first American edition of perhaps his morst important novel. Presumed first printing as no other printing dates are on the copyright page. Book is in excellent condition despite some fading and discoloration on the spine and cover boards. Also some spotting and soiling on the inside front cover and following five pages.
