Green cloth boards, blindstamped on all sides, gilt text on spine. Yellow end pages. Front end page has owner's signature at top in pencil and th is second end page - also in pencil. Moderate foxing noted throughout. Binding is good and tight, no hinge cracks, no torn or loose pages noted. Rear of book contains 12 pages of publisher's advertisements. Corners softened the front bottom right being the worst, some edge fraying to cloth noted. Top edge darkened. First US edition thus.

Harrison, NJ: RCA Radiotron Co., Inc., 1934. Soft cover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Softcover. No handwriting or signatures noted in book. Fully illustrated showing various vacuum tube types and schematics. Exterior boards shows scuffing and some minor soiling but binding is very tight. See photos.

Philadelphia, PA: Pennsylvania Railroad Company, 1907. Soft cover. VG-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Original softcover publication. 181 pages plus large foldout map attached in back of book. Title page identifies volume as P.S.C.-2. N. Y. No. 61 and I.C.C. No. 2514. Binding is tight but fragile. No handwriting found, no torn or loose pages. Front cover is separating at top and bottom as seen in the photos but at this point it is still very much attached. Rear cover has corner crease at top left in bottom right has crease, tear, and it is chipped. Foldout map shows wear a robe routes for the entire eastern half in the states, from Wisconsin to New Hampshire, down to Louisiana and Florida. Extremely rare copy as these are normally discarded when a new revision comes out. Issued October 29, 1907 and in effect December 1, 1907. Book has been placed in protective bag after photos were taken. See photos.

London: Adam and Charles Black, 1899. Hardcover. VG+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, green cloth boards show a couple light stains: one near the bottom half on the front and the other along the top edge on the rear board. This is why the book grades just as VG+ and not fine condition. The book has never been read as the majority of the pages, starting at page 29, are still uncut - either along the top edge or outside long edge the first two dozen pages were separated by the owner but the rest of the page quadrants still show the book was never used. No signatures or bookplates present, no library markings, no handwriting. There is scattered foxing present, particularly end pages and first few pages up to the preface.

San Francisco, CA: Universal Brotherhood Temple and School of Eastern Philosophy, Inc., 1931. Hardcover. Good+. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, no dust jacket. Light blue cloth boards with black design on front. Boards show spotting, corner bumps and edge wear. No signatures or bookplates present. Front end page has indentation where it appears a price was once written in the corner and then erased. Pages are lightly toned due to age. No hinge cracks, torn or loose pages.

Chicago, IL: Published by the Author / Anderson Bros., Music Typographers, 1894. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good-. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, pale green paper covered boards with black cloth to spine. Front board is ornately decorated and rear board lists other publications by the author. Exterior is toned and spotted due to age. Internal binding of text pages is good though hinges are starting to crack at front and rear boards. Paper is quite toned due to age and quality of paper used. First end page has a signature on the front in pencil and another signature on the backside. No other handwriting found. The book contains numerous advertisements for the Randall organ and piano as well as other supplies. The reason for the low condition grade is because the last two pages have a long tear at measures roughly 8 inches from bottom to top, pages are still attached but not by much. Uncommon to find with only the 1894 date.

New York: American Foundation for the Blind, 1937. 1st Edition . Hardcover. Good+. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, black cloth boards with gilt to front and spine. Exterior shows spotting and scuffing along with edge and corner bumps/wear. Spine is mildly faded as well. The internal binding is good at the front board but the rear board shows some closed cracking starting. Pages are toned due to age and some light spotting and foxing is present as well as smudge marks. Inscribed on the front end page: "five Miss Mary Dorsey with complements of the author" and below this is the author signature along with a date of February 9, 1938. In the upper right corner of this same page is very faint evidence of what appears to be a price that was once penciled and then later erased. No other handwriting found in the book.

Original price of $5.00 is still present on the front flap. DJ is worn and tattered with numerous tears and chips, divot on rear side of jacket. Blue cloth boards underneath are clean with the only issue being a bump on the lower right corner. Internal binding is good, no hinge issues and text pages are tight. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. Only evidence of handwriting found in the book is on the front end page where would may be a price was penciled along the top edge and then later erased.

Hardcover, red cloth boards with large color pictorial label on front. Exterior shows minor spotting and minor wear to the pictorial label. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight except for an area at page 79 where there is a very thin crack starting. Paper is toned due to age and some minor spotting/foxing is present. No signatures or bookplates, no library markings. Front end page does have a dark spot in the upper right corner where a price label once likely sat.

Exterior show spotting and soiling along with edge and corner wear. Interior pages are toned due to age and some foxing is present but binding is tight, no hinge issues, nothing torn or loose. Front and rear pastedowns and front end page show the original owner's name stamped which shows the book was owned by the noted USGS Geologist F. C. Schrader. Book contains numerous maps and foldouts. Also included with the book is a paper reprinted from Science magazine from July 29, 1932.

Exterior shows spotting and soiling as well as edge and corner wear. There are a few small holes in the cloth and the rear board has a circular stain in the center. The internal binding is good, except for some minor pulling in the section of offset pages that starts around page 203. The front pastedown contains an inscription stating this was from the Library of the Redemptorists Fathers, and the title page contains a stamp stating "Redemptorist Library, St. Alphonsus Church of New Orleans. There is also a very faint stamp near the lower outside corner of the same page. Various degrees of foxing is present throughout with some pages being very minor and others showing quite a bit. Hardcover, original green cloth boards decorated in gilt on front and spine. Exterior shows quite a bit of smudge and soiling and there is a library reference number written on the spine. The internal binding is good and text pages are tight. The front pastedown contains an old bookplate stating the book was a gift to the Harrisburg Public Library from the Supervisor of Public Documents. There is also a small price penned in the corner on the opposite page. The rear pastedown is clean with no library pocket but the opposite end page shows a reference number written in the upper inside corner. Philadelphia, PA: Robert H. Small, 1844. 2nd Edition . Hardcover. Poor. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original 1844 publication in original full leather binding. Exterior is soiled, darkened and worn, with numerous scrapes, chips, tears and scuffs. Spine is blacked with age and front board is broken at hinge so that board is only held on by the two sections of binders string. Pages are complete inside the book, including the end pages. Front end page is mostly attached to the front board which is precariously held on by the original binder string. End pages are also darkened with chipping present to the edges. Hardcover, original 1828 publication which appears to have been rebound with cloth in the late 19th to early 20th century. Exterior shows soiling and spotting and leather labels on spine are fragile, brittle and cracked with the both labels having large sections missing and bottom label is basically gone. Internal binding is good and text pages are tight. Paper is toned/brown due to age and moderate to severe is present throughout. No handwriting found, no library markings. Front pastedown contains the law publisher business label of Geo. T. Bisel Company along with the stamped name of the Pennsylvania attorney who likely had the book rebound. Note: this is the original publication from the 1800s and not a modern reprint. This is volume 14 only as each volume was published independent of each other and over a range of multiple years.
