Modern half calf over marbled boards; final plate with quarter-page loss, foxed, occasional chips and tears throughout. Innovative for its time, this folio-sized home pattern book presents elevations (in tinted lithograph), plans and details of construction and cost for 12 single-family dwellings. Ritch's work went through several iterations beginning with monthly parts issues in 1847 followed by various collected issues through 1864.
