This copy of "Sayings of the Father in Etchings by Saul Raskin" is one of a scarce 1940 edition. It was published by Academy Photo Offset. Hardcover. There are many full page etchings which display great detail. Problems: Top and bottom of spine are missing pieces. However, the binding remains strong and intact. Inside pages are in very good condition. No dust jacket. Pirke Aboth consists of paragraphs on ethical maxims attributed to 65 teachers, Tannaim, covering a period of about two centuries B.C.E. and two centuries C.E.

This small softcover book has been rebound with a cover that appears to be a photocopy and its spine is held with a strip of leather. One previous owner's name is written in ink across the top of the title page; another owner's bookplate partially covers this name and the first word of the title. One or both of these owners NEATLY underlined various sentences and paragraphs throughout the book.
