Description:
1st Edition, 1st Printing. Binding and pages are both in near-mint, apparently untouched condition: Binding is a sober greige cloth with red spine lettering and black accents, incl. facsimile of Reik's (tellingly jaggy) signature on front.
Pages apparently unturned, clean and unmarked throughout, with upper edge dyed black. The dust jacket, tan-colored with vivid black and red ink, is a certain familiar, age-fragile paper similar to thin construction paper, here still attractive and supple with some darkening and coarsening wher exposed to light (esp. spine), as though transforming alchemically into suede. Even the spine looks quite decent.
Also jacket: A 3/4" vertical tear on the leading edge of the front board, near the top corner, is pressed by Mylar sleeve into submission, although much more evident with book out of sleeve. Also a small notch on the right spine top, approaching the trivial but not there yet.
