Rear cover has old price sticker at lower corner near spine. Lightly bumped corner tips. Spine is firm. Nice reading copy. 113 pages. No year of publication, so we can definitively say this is the 1971 initial printing, or 1997 reprint, but we're leaning towards the first.

Hazrat Inayat Khan was the founder of the Sufi movement which was based on the spiritual teachings of mystic Mohammed Abu Hasan Madani. Pictorial covers are yellowed, scuffed, stained, scratched and have dinged and bumped corner tips. The head and heel of spine are scraped. This is a softcover book, and as such, the spine is slightly twisted. Thumbmarks at lower corners of text block. Text block all the way around is dirty with a few stains here and there. Previous owners name on inside front cover, and half title page has small, red, bookstore stamp at the bottom. Book has underlining and marginalia in pen. Spine is creased and the binding is a little loose, but all the pages remain intact. 207 pp.

Half moon shaped ding on upper edge of front board. Pages are lightly toned. The illustrations are still bright and vivid. Binding is in great shape. No loose pages. H.C. Holling was an American writer and illustrator, best known for the book Paddle-to-the-Sea, which was a Caldecott Honor Book in 1942. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1923. He worked as an art instructor before turning to the writing and illustrating of children's books. 83 pages.
