Scarce original issue. Includes the W.E Johns short story "The Raid". Fair condition only. The original Howard Leigh illustrated cover is chipped / creased, with the main area of loss being to the upper spine corner of the front panel extending to the paper spine covering. The contents complete, but pages rather browned. No inscriptions.
Separate issues of the short lived aviation quarterly magazine 'Wings' (which only ran to 4 issues from 1934-5) with their colour covers are scarce. Occasionally they appear bound together (without covers) in a 1935 reprint volume.

Near Very Good condition with minor fading to upper covers and tail of spine (where cloth has been exposed by chips to the dustwrapper). Strips of toning to endpapers and pastedowns. Inscribed by the author to the front endpaper "with best wishes from Lucy W. Bellhouse". No other inscriptions. In Fair dustwrapper, which has separated at the spine, and has large edge chips / tears. (The dustwrapper is now protected by an archival quality, transparent, non-adhesive cover, which can easily be removed if so desired).
