Scarce original issue. Includes the W.E Johns short story "The Raid". Fair condition only. The original Howard Leigh illustrated cover is chipped / creased, with the main area of loss being to the upper spine corner of the front panel extending to the paper spine covering. The contents complete, but pages rather browned. No inscriptions.
Separate issues of the short lived aviation quarterly magazine 'Wings' (which only ran to 4 issues from 1934-5) with their colour covers are scarce. Occasionally they appear bound together (without covers) in a 1935 reprint volume.

Inscribed by the author to the front endpaper "with best wishes from Lucy W. Bellhouse". No other inscriptions. In Fair dustwrapper, which has separated at the spine, and has large edge chips / tears. (The dustwrapper is now protected by an archival quality, transparent, non-adhesive cover, which can easily be removed if so desired).

Printed at the Chiswick Press. Good condition. A little speckling to lower rear board, and bumping to corners. Toning to endpapers, page edges and rear printer's colophon. Previous owner's name stamp / date to front pastedown. Pencil annotation to title page, beneath the author's name, "of Harbour Department, Board of Trade, 7 Whitehall Gardens S.W.1.".

Good+ condition, with foxing to pages edges. In original near Very Good dustwrapper which is not price-clipped. The life story of Sir Robert Baden-Powell of Pax Hill, Bentley, in the county of Hampshire. An early biography of the founder of the Scouting movement, written by Baden-Powell's secretary.

Near Very good condition with foxing to endpapers. Inscribed "Miss A Howard With Best Wishes from Rigby Wason Blair 1913" to front endpaper. Rigby Wason was Barrister of Law of the Middle Temple, and served in No 2306 ICRV, No 77 City Imperial Volunteers, and Sergeant "G" (Cyclist) Company.

Although there is no mention of earlier printings, this book was first published in 1715. ESTC locates copies at the Congregational Library; Theological Seminary, Saint Mark's Library; Lilly Library; and Yale University. Not in the British Library.

Inscribed by the author to the front endpaper in the year of publication "Arthur Rogers from Dorothy Wellesley Oct 23.1940 (Duchess of Wellington)", with additional initialled entry in the author's hand beside the poem "Cock-Crow"; "x D.W the best perhaps..?", and occasional pencil crosses beside other selected poems. Very Good, clean, tight condition. In original dustwrapper which is not price-clipped (Published price 6/-). The wrapper has a strip missing along the lower front edge, and a closed tear to the upper rear panel, but is otherwise in Good order.

UK 1st Edition / correct 1st Printing with numberline 1-10 to copyright page. Handsigned (not dedicated) to the title page by the author. No other inscriptions or writing. Very Good+, clean, tight condition in Very Good original dustwrapper which is not price-clipped.

Scarce original 1957 student Rag Magazine. Illustrated in black / white, with many jokes / short pieces, and advertisements of the time. Vertical crease, split to head of spine and staples rusting. No inscriptions.

12pp. Original theatre programme for Lady Windermere's Fan at the St James's Theatre, London. Good condition, with splitting to the spine and rectangle of paper pasted to section of rear cover. Writing to the front identifying the play and performance date (27th October 1911). Includes portraits of cast, cast list and period advertisements. The London West End Revival of Lady Windermere's Fan at the St James Theatre (now demolished) - Opened 14 October 1911, Closed 1 December 1911. The cast featured Lilian Braithwaite as 'Lady Windermere', Dawson Milward as 'Lord Windermere', Marion Terry as 'Mrs. Erlynne', Norman Trevor as 'Lord Darlington' and Mrs G Kemmis as 'Duchess of Berwick'. Presented by Sir George Alexander.
