Boston, 1887. Very Good. A city guide for late 19th century Boston, featuring a street directory, plus lists of taxi fares, churches, express offices, hotels, etc. Illustrated with twelve engraved diagrams of various local theaters, which elegantly display their fin-de-siecle design. Also with many local ads, many illustrated. 17 x 10 cm, in brown cloth with gilt lettering; 96pp. Corner bumped, slight discoloration to cloth.

Winter Park, Florida: Rollins Press, Inc, Circa 1930s. 7.5 x 5.5", stapled, blue covers, 36 pp, illustrations by Mary Curtis Lee on most pages. A variety of biblical stories from Genesis to Daniel written in rhyme. According to newspapers and letters fromt the time, it appears the author was a founder of the Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Virginia, where she was headmistress for several decades. An inscription in ink to the title page implies the book is a gift to her niece Augusta Carlisle Noland, who would eventually attend the all-girls boarding school and eventually become a writer as well. Staining to covers, foxing to text block edge.

Green Bay, Wisconsin: Gazette Publishing Co, 1909. 8vo, original printed boards with red cloth spine, 158 pp. Green Bay, Wisconsin community cookbook printing a wide variety of recipes together with local ads, and advertisement text for "Ebeling's 'Cream of Wheat'" and "Korto Rico Coffee" on each page. Covers detached, covers worn, spine cloth fraying, pages toned, closed tears to a few pages, minor chipping to margins of a few leaves, staining to a few pages, chip to corner of pp. 99-100 with loss to a couple of letters of text.

Fifth printing of this "Idelightful story about three little girls who studied for careers on the stage." Illustrated by Richard Floethe. An attractive copy with slight toning to pages, dust jacket corners trimmed, dust jacket split at upper two thirds of front flap fold, tears to rear flap fold, chipping to corners and spine ends of DJ, toning to DJ spine.

Chicago: Valmor Products Company, Circa 1940s. Brochure measuring 5.75 x 3.75" when folded, with four panels of text and illustrations on each side. Promotional brochure and price list for a line of skin, hair and beauty care products marketed towards African Americans. In excellent condition.

New York: Alfred A Knopf, 1944. First Edition. 8 x 5.75", burgundy hardcover with dust jacket, 269 pp. A novel based on the WWII experiences of the author as a war correspondent in Italy. Light toning to pages, owners stamp to front and rear pastedown. Sunning to jacket, especially spine, tiny bit of chipping to corners and spine tips of DJ, very good overall.

New Castle, Delaware: Bellanca Aircraft Corporation, 1930. Oblong 4to, [12]pp, stapled pictorial wrappers. Illustrated promotional booklet with color drawing of aircraft, color printed border around text, and many photographic illustrations. Provides aircraft information and specifications. Offsetting to wrappers, soiling to upper margin of wrappers, bit of soiling to text, old glue residue to one page of text with slight damage, about very good overall, “file air” handwritten to front cover.”

Bennington, Vermont: [The Bennington Banner], 1872. Single leaf measuring 14.5 x 6.5", printed to recto only in red and green inks. A scarce broadside soliciting subscribers to the Bennington Banner, a Vermont newspaper founded in 1841. The colorful broadside calls the newspaper the "Best Family Newspaper in Vermont," and notes that "we give a large amount more Reading Matter than any other paper printed or published in this County," while offering the paper for the price of two dollars per year. In nice condition with folding creases and a hint of toning.

Boston: D.C. Heath & Co, 1908. Square octavo in brown cloth with gilt spine lettering. An excellent copy of this early edition of the medieval classic, with a hint of toning to pages and minor rubbing to spine tips and corners.

Nineteenth impression, 1960. First published in this form in 1929. Front joint cracked and rubbed, rubbing to joints, corners, and spine ends, hint of wear to covers.

New York: Betty Wales Dressmakers, 1916. First Edition. 5.25 x 3.75", original gray boards with printed title labels to cover and spine, 139, [3] pp, illustrations from drawings. A scarce title in the "Betty Wales" series authored by Edith Kellogg Dunton, a graduate of Smith College who wrote under the pseudonym Margaret Warde. The Betty Wales books tell the story of a young woman studying at the fictional Harding College, covering her freshman year through to life after graduation. The books became so popular that a New York garment manufacturer released a line of Betty Wales dresses in 1915, offering books from the series free with the purchase of a dress. This, the last installment in the Betty Wales series, was one such book, published under a "Betty Wales Dressmakers" imprint.
