Illustrated with black/white line drawings and section of sepia photographic plates.

Original illustrated souvenir film programme 10'' x 7½'' with Ramon Navarro crossed armed in full film dress to the front cover. Contains 28 printed pages of text with monochrome photo stills from the 1927 MGM film, illustrated advertisements and prize crossword still intact. Includes text and statistics on how the 'Ben-Hur' chariot race was filmed. Throughout the programme Navarro is referred to as 'Ramon Novarro'. Good+ condition with no writing. Light vertical crease, and some markings to covers including where the paper seal at the leading edge has been removed. Clean and bright internally.

Undedicated author's inscription (dated in year of publication) to title page. No other inscriptions. Very Good, clean condition. Author's inscription reads "With Best Wishes Benedict Rubbra 24.06.98". Illustrated in colour and black/white.

Includes the first publication of Richard Brome's charges of blasphemy levelled against Marlowe (Pages 428-431). Havelock Ellis' decision to include this apparently offended both J.A Symonds and the publisher, Vizetelly to the extent that this work was withdrawn. Subsequent editions omitted Bromes' note on Marlowe's "damnable opinions", and Vizetelly denounced Ellis for making such 'monstrous abominations......public'.

Spanish language. Corner crease to upper right cover. Warmly inscribed by the author accompanied by drawing, to the title page. Author's inscription to the title page is accompanied by a drawing of a flower and the words "Seven Days".
