This work was then continued under the editorship of the Revd. Evelyn White until 1910. This [FIRST SERIES] is complete in itself, albeit lacking Vol.II. They are scarce.

Vanity Fair. London. 1902.. - PHOTOGRAPHY - BIRMINGHAM - FOLK LORE *An original coloured lithograph from 'Vanity Fair' by SPY [Leslie Ward]. Born in Birmingham, glass manufacturer, Conservative politician, prolific amateur photographer. He travelled to Spain, Norway, Japan and Brazil [where he photographed the solar eclipse of 1890], founded the National Photographic Record Association and was official photographer at the coronation of George V. His archive of thousands of images is in Birmingham Central Library.

Thus mostly concerning the Turf and Horses, with a £20 prize for correctly predicting the three winning jockeys in their order of precedence on the first of every month, biographies of jockeys and owners, a detective story ['It is with the two girls that my story mainly is concerned. We became acquainted with them in the usual way men of our stamp drop in with women of a lower grade....'] and advertisements for hair restorer, Beecham's Pills and gold watches.
