New York: Harper and Row, Publishers, 1985 Harper and Row, Publishers, 1985. Fine. Harper and Row, Publishers, 1985. Fine. In case you forgot, the title happens to be the last line of Twain's Huckleberry Finn. This is the third book by David Carkeet; it is based on the premise that Mark Twain, who first arrived in 1835 with Halley's Comet and left in 1910, came back again in 1985 when the comet made another loop past us. Needless to say, that's a bit of a stretch but it makes for great reading. Stated first edition with full number line; signed by author on title page. Blue paper binding with red cloth at spine; gold lettering on spine only. Binding tight and square with no flaws. Unclipped dust jacket has a few minor bumps. 305 pages including index. 305 pages plus index.

She wrote several more books, but her career was cut short by eye problems. Needless to say, she will be remembered for this effort alone. The sale volume is a very well preserved copy of the 1973 first, a later edition, since 1973 is mentioned on copyright page with no mention of first edition. Brown cloth binding with owl illustration on front board and lettering on spine, all in gold. Obvious bumps but no other marking or damage. Unclipped dust jacket is bright and clean but has some minor tears and chipping at top and bottom of spine. A very attractive copy of the classic. 166 pages.

Description:
New York: Avon Books, 1997 Bradbury (1920-2012) apparently didn't like the term Sci-Fi and preferred 'fantastical and unreal'. No one should argue with one of the most popular authors of the 20th and early 21st century. The Illustrated Man was written in 1951; it is a collection of short stories that defies description, typical Bradbury. The sale item is a re-issue, the stated first Avon Books printing from June 1997 with a number line reading 10 9 8 7 6 5 4. Light brown paper boards with dark brown paper at spine; gold lettering on spine only. The book is published with a new introduction by the author. There is what appears to be a signature by the author on the front free end page but I have no way of verifying authenticity. Binding is tight, square, clean and bright with no flaws. Unclipped dust jacket has no flaws.
