A collection of works by Herbie Yamaguchi, one of Japan's leading photographers. Born in Tokyo in 1950, he moved to England after graduating from Tokyo Keizai University in 1973. During that time, Yamaguchi joined the experimental art theater company "Red Buddha," overseen by musician Stomu Yamashta. In the mid-1970s, he joined the British photographers' group "Quality of Life" and began to shoot the rock and punk music scenes while holding photo exhibitions in Britain and France. He was also the only Japanese photographer who lived in a boarding house with Boy George—in the years before he was famous—and photographed Boy George's private life.
