Slight bumps at corners. No writing in book. As a bonus you will get a 2nd book by same author titled, "The I Hate Mathematics! Book" also in good plus condition. Both books have many drawings and I would describe them as unusual and interesting math books.

There is a piece missing from the lower bottom corner of front cover. Front and back hinge is a little loose. There is some page creasing. Total pages 506. Size is 4 1/4 inches wide x 6 3/8 inches high.

Stamped on the title page is,"Specimen Copy with compliments of C. A. Ritter, Auburn, Pa." This was evidently a copy that was given to a school to examine for consideration for class material. Some writing on rear cover and writing erased on first blank page. Some writing, marks, and some closed tears thru book. 192 pages. Binding is starting to loosen. Letters on spine are fading and wearing off.

A protective plastic cover was placed over the boards. Some writing on the half-title page. There is some underlining thru book. A name was written on the bottom page edges with a green marker. Binding is excellent and there is no page creasing.

Stated first edition. Forty-First Annual Volume. Hard bump to top front corner. No writing, marks, or creases. The dust jacket has some chipping to both top and bottom edge.

This is a reading book for students and has 21 biographies of prominent men and women with pictures of each.Some of the biographies are of Samuel Clemens, Thomas Edison, Herbert Hoover, Anna Shaw, George Westinghouse, etc. There is a gift inscription on the 1st free end page, "S Leon Weidner from Frank Green". I believe this Weidner man was born 12/25/1913 in Dickinson Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania and died 02/09/2003 at the age of 89 in Gardners, Pa. The cover and corners are worn. Slight damage to rear hinge but binding is in good shape. Book is small sized, 4 1/2 inch wide, 6 3/4 inch high, and 7/8 inch thick and has 325 pages.

Science Program. There is 29 gummed stamps in the middle of the book that can be separated and then moistened to attach at the proper spots thru the book. 64 page staple bound activity booklet. Some of the pages of stamps are pulling off the staples. These pages would need to be pulled off anyway in order to apply the stamps.

This is a catalogue with 1363 pages. The cover is orange color and shows a lady in a yellow sweater dress. Cover indicates a $720,000. Sweepstakes and inside the cover is a lucky number and entry form still there. Front cover has a small crease on upper right corner and some tiny closed tears on the right edge. The back cover also has some tiny closed tears and a small brown mark(I believe it is a small drop of dried glue). Back cover advertises the Ward's Riverside automotive battery. The spine is white with black lettering and is crinkled(very tiny crinkles). This is neat to look thru and see the fashions from 40 years ago and to see the old radios, tv's, bicycles, etc. Montgomery Ward is now out of business.

On the number line on last page, the lowest numbers are 3 and 55. The rear upper corner is bumped. Binding is excellent. No page creasing.

Front cover rubbed at 2 spots(the blue color is a little lighter there). On ffep there is a name in pencil, a date of 1957 in pencil, and an address sticker. No other marks. Pages clean and tight.

Fourth printing 1961. In addition to the author above:"in collaboration with Frances Spatz Leighton". There is some slight foxing on the 1st free end page. There is a slight damp stain on the bottom page edges which did not spread into the pages(edge only). Some wrinkling to bottom of spine. The Dust Jacket has a plastic protective cover on it. The dust jacket is wavy. The author served as a maid(and her mother before that) and seamstress at the Executive Mansion for 30 years prior to her retirement which was shortly before writing this book.
