Description:
The first page has Felton's inscription and notes he put the album together in London. He seems to have painted his family (?) crest there as well. There are other crests painted throughout the album. In England, there are many photos from Chester, London, Stratford, and Stratford. He then went on to Paris and Genoa all in November 1893.As you look at the photos, it becomes evident that Felton most certainly had a good eye and indeed might have been a photographer himself. At first, I mused that he could have made most of the images since the perspective of so many of them is so similar. But, I think he probably bought them all in stationary shops and just had an artistic sensibility.
The once fine notebook is in disrepair now. It's covers are very worn. The back cover is detached. The spine's leather is gone. The 86 pages and 85 photos are in very good to fine condition, however.
