Emma Deering was the daughter of John Deering, barrister, and Harriet Armstrong who were married in 1805. The Deerings lived at Mountjoy Square, Dublin and Derrybrusk in Enniskillen. She married the Rev. Joseph North, son of Roger North of Kilduffe House, King's County, in 1845. The couple eventually moved to England.Provenance: By family descent.

Ink Drawing with watercolour, on Whatman paper watermarked 1828, A well executed finished drawing for a sophisticated range which was presumably for use in the kitchen of a restaurant or hotel. The type of drawing is reminiscent of those designs in Ackermann's Repository.

Large folio (12.5 x 10.25in) orig. half green morocco leather binding, with leather gilt title label on front cover, very worn, damage to head and foot of spine, Charles Richardson [1806-1871] architect, was a pupil of Sir John Soane. 'Richardson is chiefly remembered as a pioneer of the Victorian appreciation of Tudor and Elizabethan architecture and as an architectural draughtsman and collector of architectural drawings' Oxford DNB. This volume, the first of his works on early English architecture has eighteen plates illustrating the features of Claverton near Bath.
