This edition of Virgil's complete works contains the Aenid, the Eclogues (Bucolica Ecologai) and the Georgics. Bound in contemporary full leather. The front board is detachde but fixed with clear tape. Discreet fon label and stamp on ffep. Clear plastic adhesive cover applied across spine. Some bumping to spine and corners . Some minor annotations. Pages are generally in very good condition with a very few pencilled notes. Two discreet fon labels on ffep.

Lovely edition with 100 full-colour illustrations plus 100 black and white drawings with a printing number of 537.1146 - our belief is that this is the 1946 or 1947 reprint. Bound in tan cloth boards in used condition - very minor bumping to corners and spine. Pages are in excellent clean and bright condition with delightful illustrations.

First edition with 226 coloured illustrations by Gordon Riley plus 17 black and white drawings and pictorial endpapers. Original series bound in green cloth boards with white titles to spine and front in very good plus condition. Dust cover is in very good condition with only minor bumping to top edge. Pages are in excellent clean and bright condition.

Blue dust jacket with white lettering over green cloth covered boards, gilt lettering to spine. Twenty four black and white plates throughout. Pages and binding are presentable with no major defects. Light foxing, tanning and thumb marking to edges of pages otherwise in good overall condition. Boards have mild shelf wear to board edges with spine ends creased and bumps to corners. Unclipped jacket has visible edge wear with some tears and small missing pieces.
