Corner tip crease, spine nick, and a couple of light page bents. Synopsis: This is a biography of the last Chief of the People - the Comanche. Quanah Parker was a Comanche chief who cared deeply about his family and his People. Early in his life he was a Comanche warrior but later became a judge and cattle rancher. He lost his land when government usurped his land, which was part of the Comanche reservation, for the white settlers. The government never gave another chief this title. The modern Comanche Nation's leader is a chairman who is elected through voting. Included is a "Timeline," "Further Reading," "Websites," and a "Bibliography." All helpful for additional research about Quanah Parker.
