Contemporary calf with red leather label and gilt tooling to spine. Boards lightly edgeworn with shallow loss to base of spine and general scuffing. Binding is sound. Recent ownership stamp to front pastedown; ownership inscription of Thomas Wright dated 1817 to front free endpaper, with ownership inscription of Elias W. Pratt underneath and inscribed "bought at Thomas Wrights auction (?) Nov. 17th, 1864." Light toning and spotting to endpapers; brief tape repair to frontis verso; interior else legible throughout. Very Good. Includes "Mankind universally apt to trust in their own Righteousness," "Hope the Anchor of the Soul," and "The Last Words of Christ to his Disciples," among others. According to the publisher, eight sermons previously unpublished.

Octavo; stitched self-wrappers; 28pp. (lacking half title page, otherwise collated complete). Stitching partly perished, textblock margins a bit chipped and soiled, contemporary ownership signature along fore-edge margin of title page, else Good to Very Good. Running counter to the modern-day misapprehension of what Thanksgiving is all about, Frisbie here gives thanks to "the happy success of our arms against our savage neighbours, who had so long, and so frequently harrassed [sic] our frontiers, and committed cruel ravages upon the lives and properties of our brethren" (p. 18).
