The first documentary study of Aleister Crowley's contemporary followers in North America, told through the life of their de facto leader, Wilfred Talbot Smith (1885-1957). Others covered here are Jack Parsons, C.F. Russell, Jane Wolfe, Max Schneider, Louis Culling, Grady McMurtry, and many more. Much of the source material that Starr worked with came directly from Smith's wife, Helen Parsons Smith.
