[2], 97 pp.; 12mo original purple cloth with printed paper title label, text printed in blue ink with green ruled border. Ruminations on well-being, illness, laughter, and other human qualities in light of the teachings of Theosophy. George Arundale (1878-1945) was involved in Theosophy from an early age. His great aunt, Francesca Arundale (who adopted him after his parents died), was a close friend of Madame Blavatsky and Annie Besant. He was tutored by C. W. Leadbeat, and himself became one of Jiddu Krishnamurti's tutors. In 1934 he became president of the Theosophical Society. He was married to Indian classical dancer Rukmini Devi Arundale Rare.
