Rubbettino, 2000. Softcover. Good. Softcover wraps. Aqua and dark blue design on front, aqua on the rear cover. Front cover has a small piece of tape with a date stamped on it (like a library date stamp), and that small piece of paper is taped to the cover. We made the decision not to remove this, as it might lift up the top layer of the cardboard. Smudges to the cover, bumped corner tips and at head and heel of spine. There are a few pages near the front of the book which seem to have been crimped by the print roller at time of printing. Doesn't affect readability. Pages are clean and unmarked. Glued binding is in good condition. 201 pages.

Edges of cover are chipped, scuffed, with small tears at top and bottom of spine. Creased spine with with creases along the joint edges. Green tinted outer edges of text block have faded. Pages 75 to 80 are damaged at the outside edge of page. Age toned pages, with bumped and worn corner tips. Binding is fragile, although the book remains readable. This mass market paperback was released in conjunction with the Desilu production of the popular television series of the same name. 160 pages.

University of Arizona Press, 1974. Hardcover. Good. Hard to find hardcover copy. The mylar-covered dust jacket appears to be in great shape, excepting a oval shaped price sticker fixed directly onto the paper DJ. After mylar was put onto the DJ, the flaps were taped front to back so dust jacket would not slip off. The old, narrow, packing tape that was used has yellowed and stained the paste down endpaper and the free end pages. The pieces of tape at top and bottom on the backside were slit open by us so that we could assess the actual book boards themselves. Bright, lime green boards are extremely clean (dust jacket for the win!) and top and bottom of spine are very lightly dented. Pages are white, faint yellowing around edges, with no markings. Solid binding. The mylar and DJ have very minor bumping to corner tips with light crimping of edges. The biggest flaw with this book is the darkened areas on endpapers from the old tape adhesive. Someone took great care of this book. Fine reading copy.

Stanton and Van Vliet, 1919. Hardcover. Good. Hardcover. No dust jacket. Good shape! Ecru covered boards with red lettering in a nifty font, outlined in black, with two line black border. Black titling on spine. Board tips are gently bumped. Cloth on spine strip is only faintly darkened. Top and bottom of spine are bumped with very light wearing to the board cloth. Rear board is smudged and has pen and pencil marking. Page block has light age-toning, as do pages. Paste downs and endpapers are lightly age toned, with darker toning in the hinges. The sewn binding (aka Smyth sewn binding) is in good shape, book does not twist, and it's hard to believe this publication is over 100 years old! It's the original Grammarly. 217 pages.
