This ambro is in fine condition. It has been archivally resealed with new glass. It comes in a case with a split spine. The case seems to be American to me, as does the protector, but things have gotten switched around a lot with cased images over the years.

This is the life of a young German man who came of age just after the war. A few of the first snaps are computer printouts, but all the rest are original prints. The earlier pages show him as a boy with his family and some show his father in his Nazi uniform. His father does not seem to appear later in the album so perhaps he died during the war? As a teen, judging from a few photos of him in some kind of uniform. After the war, his friends and family had a real sense of style and a lot of fun. The photos show a life of parties, masked balls, family, and long bike rides. If he worked or studied, there is no evidence here. His mom and sister pop up regularly, as do a large group of guy friends and, eventually, a girlfriend. As with many West German photos from this period, the images' quality is very nice. He had a decent camera and a good eye for photography. His self portraits towards the end, from 1954 are quite fun.
