Crow Bait

This is a story about a man named Lancaster that was left in the desert and almost died. He was a former drunk and has turned his life around and had become a bounty hunter. After he recovered from his desert injuries he had just enough money to buy the cheapest, most decrepit horse left in the stable to die and was nicknamed "crow bait". Well this search for the man who left him there turned out to be an oddysey not unlike "O brother where out there". Time after time he made mistakes but somehow crow bait bailed him out. Finally, forced to encounter the man who left him there or rescue crow bait...the horse had become his best friend. The ending is remarkable. Let's just say crow bait should win the oscar for the best supporting character. If you ever find yourself wanting to see what western novels are like. This is the perfect book to start....shu
