Brattleboro, VT: Holbrook and Fessenden, 1823. Leather. Fair. 158p. A leatherbound book in POOR CONDITION. The front cover is badly torn and weakly held together with clear tape. The spine and back cover are heavily chafed as well. Pages edges worn and last page of text torn. Foxing and toning throughout. Pages remain tightly bound despite external damage. OFFERED AS-IS. After Webster's copyright expired in 1818, there were numerous pirated editions of his spelling book. This is an edition from Vermont printed in 1823.
