This book is in good minus condition. Top half of spine mostly detached. Moderate chipping to tail end of spine. Moderate chipping to all edges and corners of boards. Moderate staining and scuffing to both boards. Previous owner's signature on front endpaper. Minor staining and foxing to interior pages. Printing and binding company sticker on bottom of rear pastedown.
Wagner's book-length essay on Beethoven, written to celebrate the centenary of Beethoven's birth in 1870, is really about Wagner himself rather than Beethoven.
