Straight, tight and clean with no markings, color offsetting to front endpaper from laid-in newspaper clipping, otherwise as new. Dustjacket unclipped bearing original price, slight edge nicks, one short closed edge tear near head of spine, age-toning to edges, in new Brodart sleeve. The Irish-born American Traditionalist Catholic priest, biblical archaeologist, exorcist, paleographer, professor, and prolific author of 17 novels and non-fiction books presents a provocative examination of the Roman Catholic Church's historical dilemma involving the conflicting claims of spiritual and secular power which builds to an exploration of the church's current dangers and weaknesses.
