Pp. 120, illustrated throughout in colour and black & white, pictorial endpapers, bibliography; small square 4to; corners of boards a trifle rubbed; price-clipped dust wrapper; Weidenfeld & Nicolson, London, 1967. First edition, early issue, with p. 110 in the original state. Pleasures and Treasures series. *Later copies were issued with a cancel page 110, correcting [to #107] the misnumbering of the illustration on that page and altering the caption below the illustration to 'The austere beauty of the Doves Press typography commands the admiration of all. This type is derived from Jenson and the words 'In the Beginning' are printed in red'.
