(these were purchased from a family library in Henderson Harbor, NY, near his birthplace in Watertown, which included many other works owned by him). Spine and top edge faded, rusty paperclip mark on three pages. 1916 Hard Cover. xii, 333 pp. A study of exploration by Dutch navigators, including the search for a Northeast Passage, journeys to India, settlement of the west coast of America, Tasman's exploration of Australia, etc. Includes seventy reproductions of old prints, some of which are maps.
