'Ismailia' is a classic work aimed to bring awareness to and suppress the slave-trade in Central Africa. Written by Samuel Baker, this work sheds light on the horrors of slave owners as well as describing the slave administration in Sudan. Baker was the first Englishman to sit in a high office of the Egyptian government.

This first edition was published in London and is filled with dozens impressive engravings and a folding map.
