Smith's celebrated memoir of her relationship with Mapplethorpe won the 2010 National Book Award. It was first published earlier the same year in a trade edition. Octavo. Original dark blue cloth, spine lettered in silver, grid incorporating the initials of Smith and Mapplethorpe stamped on front cover in silver and illustrating the endpapers, purple silk bookmarker.
