Near Fine book with soft spine ends and light edge wear that leaves some of underlying brown showing, pages age toned as is typical with this title; in a Good dust jacket that has light edge and corner wear, some loss of color edges and fold, wrinkles at spine ends with slight closed tears and minor chipping, soiled and rubbed with slight sun fade to spine. Strong sun has yellowed portions of front panel and flap. Price $2.95 present bottom corner front flap. This first book under McBain name and also the first 87th Precinct mystery. This copy has a bookplate signed by McBain laid-in.
