Clean except for a prior owner's name on the front free endpaper, a few tiny checkmarks and brief spots of underlining in pencil; a line of binding separation starting at the title page, otherwise sturdy; full cloth cover has small inward turns at free corners and modest shelfwear at spine ends, and jacket has a short surface tear at the upper spine, a short pressure mark at the middle front, pale smudges around rear edges, and some edge chipping, particularly around spine ends, otherwise sound, still quite vivid and protected in a clear sleeve. xv.
