Softbound, light edgewear, internally clean. $250. * First edition. A landmark in the history of legal journalism, this book is an account of the Sullivan libel case against the New York Times and a history of the First Amendment. The published copy offered here belonged to Gilbert [1918-2007], a distinguished writer and editor at the Washington Post who later served as a government official in Washington, DC and Washington State and an advocate for the rights of the hearing impaired.
