Book Condition: Good; moisture stain to bottom of front board; light soiling to boards; smudging to several pages. DJ: Poor; Price Clipped; missing pieces at top and bottom of spine and bottom of front panel; scotch tape repairs to flap folds and spine. Beige linen cloth over boards and spine with brown lettering on the spine and front board. 214 pp 8vo. This is a novel based on the author's grandparents who pioneered in the Cherokee Strip of OK in 1893. The Rombergs made the run in '93 and found a piece of land, paid their filing fee, and on return found their land illegally settled by another family. They chose a less favorable place and found nothing but problems confronting them especially a spring blizzard where Fritz had to find the strength to fight and to forgive. A presentable copy in a Brodart mylar jacket.
