First American edition. Illustrated. [11]-378, 6 pp. ads. 8vo, green cloth with gilt decorated spine, extremities rubbed, staining to lower edge of textblock in areas, mostly affecting blank margins but occasionally affecting a few plates. Bruns G57.

A good description of game birds, big horn and Rocky Mountain sheep, bison, moose, deer, antelope, caribou, bears, wolves and foxes, wild turkey, wading birds and also three chapters on fishing salmon, bass and pickerel of North America. Gillmore was a Scottish traveller, hunter and prolific author. He also used the pseudonym "Ubique" (Latin of everywhere).
