Clean blue full cloth with blind stamp design on front, gilt panel on spine with blue lettering, gilt design. Light wear to extremities. Slight lean to spine. Rough cut on fore edge and lower edge. P. 93 has been folded in and has a crease in the page. pp 171-172 have a little scuff mark on the lower edge, otherwise internals are clean and unmarked, lightly toned. The story of three men whose aircraft crashes in a Burmese jungle during World War II, far away from the war is being fought. Their relationship to each other, to nature, and, their struggle in the jungle to survive make this a fast moving, compelling story. 308 pages. 8.3 x 5.6 inches. Little, Brown and Co, Boston MA 1947.
