About This Item
Chicago, Illinois: Sears, Roebuck & Company, 1912. First Edition. Softcover. Very Good. 16mo 6" - 7" tall. Sturdy, still tightly bound softcover copy bound in a black flexible, pebbly leather cover with folding flap, minor wear of covers and text-block beyond missing (probably) first two endpapers to title page, but with neither underlining nor highlighting. Perfectly readable, usable copy. Sections are paginated separately, and with 719, 232, and 243 pp. Gilt spine and flap titles and flourishes; all page edges gilt. Black-and-white illustrations galore, diagrams, four foldout diagrams; empty pocket to inner rear flap perhaps to keep scratch-paper? Quite sharply distinct title in gilt on spine reads: "Traction Engines, Young Engineer's Guide."Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
