A virtually mint copy of the First American edition in an unclipped dust jacket, signed, inscribed and dated in green ink on the front free endpaper: “For Jacques, who caressed my heart. Tennessee Dotson May 1985.” A New York Times review of this book and The Kindness of Strangers: The Life of Tennessee Williams, is laid-in at the rear. Jacques le Sourd was chief drama critic for the Gannet chain.
