First published in 1932, this work is very scarce in all contemporary editions. She is recognised as one of the most significant occultists and ceremonial magicians of the early twentieth century. In this work, Fortune discusses death and the process of dying, drawing from psychological and esoteric theory to explain the stages in the natural process of dying that every soul passes through. She discusses communication with the departed, the overcoming of grief, crossing the threshold, and purgatory. With a bookseller's stamp to the half title. Lacking the front free endpaper.A fascinating discussion of mortality. In the publisher's original paper wraps. Light rubbing to front joint, otherwise externally, excellent.
