I bought this set of 2 books in 1976. It is the best cookbook! It explains everything you need to know and more. I got this when I was a newlywed and it has lasted through 2 marriages and neither of those men complained about my cooking! Great for the first time cook that has no prior experience. It is 2015 and I still use these books often... and they are still holding together!
