Text has several smudges in the margins but without marks Binding is smudged and worn around the edges. Pastedown illustration on the front binding. Back binding paste-down is cracked at the margin.

Undated hardcover (old) - Grosset & Dunlap. Pages unmarked, binding intact, rear blank page and last 3 advertising pages are damaged, both hinges cracked a little, cover has sporadic fraying on the edges and light soiling, no dust jacket.

A. L. Burt. Beige cloth with color paste-on cover illustration. A little bumped at the spine tips. Otherwise a bright, strong and square copy with no markings. Dust jacket (in mylar sleeve) is toned with chipping at the spine tips and some nicks along the edges. No date listed, cir. 1900. . Very Good. Hardcover.
