Rare books from Arcadia II Books

A beautiful and rare book published in 1911 by kempten und muenchen verlag der jos kosel Dionysius Areopagita is in german, the pages are clean and tight and decle edge, many have not been cut. The pages are tanned of course., and the text is in German.
The cover is quite beautiful with some kind of paper threaded with designs of lines and orange buckram under that with gold letterig. There are two spots on the front cover and the right front corner has a bumped corner with missing cloth. Please see photos for condition of cover.

A First edition of Maeve Binchy's Dublin 4 published in Dublin by Ward River Press in 1982. Rare. The pages are clean and tight, and very tanned. The cover has fading at the edges, and maybe bumped corners, they are so slight you can barely call them that. So the book is really almost like new old stock. Very nice.

a 1953 first edition of La Pratique du Yoga Ancien et Moderne in French, the cover has a lot of edge wear esp to spine, but it still looks good, and inside the pages are clean and tight, and uncut.Payot, Paris, 1953paperback clean tight uncut tanned inside; cover is intact with edgwear and one crease and a bare spot that had a stamp, please see photos, by ernest wood, biblioteque scientifique; back end paper a little disengaged from top, but no loose pages.

cover has light stain to bottom right, hard to see, tiny bumped corners, tanned pages otherwise like new, very good vintage condition, insie this First Vintage Edition paperback 1981 is clean and tight with Sontag's signature on the title page at the top; when you open the book the free front endpaper has a crease, i don't thinkit shows int he photo, but no pages are loose, ...it's a fine vintage first edition susan sontage SIGNED book ...probably getting rare by now.

More than Mercer House: Savannah's Jim Williams & his Southern Houses written and signed by Dorothy Kingery, the hardcover book is like new except at the last page the sewn in bindings comes a little away from the book just for about 1/3 of the way up, no pages are loose and it's the very end of the book, the buckram black cover is beautiful; the dj has edge and cover wear to the front, but still looks good in the sense that you can still see the cover and back photographs very well.

Maasai Brams 1980 with book as new, clean and tight, beautiful photos and text by jTepilit Ole Saitoti who has SIGNED the ffendpaper with an inscription, "man of the serengeti." The d j is beautiful with a tiny glitch down at the bottom of the back (the cellophane has come off a milimeter,), and some light scratches, on the back that i can't show in a photo, very inobtrusive, can be seen under bright light, the front of the d j and the spine are flawless.

Dog Soliders, Bear Men and Buffalo Women, first edition, signed by author and illustrator Thomas E Mails on ff endpaper, book is clean and tight, orange hardcover with gold lettering is as new also, d j has edgwear and chips top and bottom, but the illustration and the main part of the d j looks like itself.....see photos.

Beautiful book in fine condition, clean and tight, pages very lightly tanned. Dust jacket has very minor edgewear with a couple of very small tears and one slightly larger one which i have repaired so it wldn't go further, the dust jacket is white so it has some light marking esp where it folds over the book, nothing is intrusive however, the d j still looks very good, it does have a crease on the back cover beneath the photo of the author. The Yellow hardcover with the beautiful decorations looks great, but it does have some very minor corner bumps, which again are non obtrusive.

2007 second edition of True Horsemanship through Feel; the book is in beautiful as new condition except for an inscription, and the cover is great too except for tiny tiny corner bumps, and one corner (also small crease)...otherwise it looks like new, no scuffing nor edgewear. A very almost like new copy of a great book about living with horses.
