The illustrations (12 full color & numerous text decorations) are WONDERFULLY & brightly done in Hassall's own "Poster Style" (influenced by famous poster artist Alphonse Mucha during the 1890's), depicting flat colors enclosed by thick black lines; noted, then, as very suitable for children's books; would make marvelous framed prints!
