Hardback, folio, cardboard covers with marbled surface and part leather binding at spine and corners. 128 pp. Written in Latin and German in parallel columns of text. Illustrated with 26 plates with 291 hand drawn microscopic images, many hand coloured, along with figure legends. Tight binding. Spine, edges and corners scuffed. Some damage to cover. Foxing with brown and yellow discolouration of pages (not untypical of many books of this era). Numbered 195. Several pages with the oval hand stamp of Guy's Hospital Physical Society from the library which held this book. 33.8 cm x 27.5 cm x 1.8 cm. 1,320 g (postage will be adjusted according to weight and size).
